Wat Amphawan Chetiyaram Temple

This temple is devoted to the Na Bang Chang family. Originally, this was the house of King Rama II’s mother. The chapel as well as the anitques inside the temple include beautiful art work and architecture from the early Rattanakosin period. Used to be a residential palace of Queen Amarindaramas, the mother of the Queen of King Rama l and also the birth place of King Rama ll.

Later queen Amarindaramas renovated as a temple in dedication to her mother, Phra Si Sophak Mahanak Naree. The Ubosoth is in early Ratanakosin style (19th century A.D.) The statue of King Rama II is also situated here.
