Savouring the Summer at Award-Winning Yamazato
Bangkok, Thailand Throughout August Master Chef Shigeru Hagiwara and his team at The Okura Prestige Bangkok’s award-winning Yamazato Japanese restaurant are serving up seasonal treats with special summer Gozen lunch platters and an 8-course Kaiseki dinner.
The two Gozen lunch platters encompass traditionally prepared soup, sashimi, tempura, and grilled and simmered dishes featuring a range of ingredients associated with the time of year, particularly premium seafood and refreshing summer garnishes. The first platter includes offerings such as octopus, shrimp and suisho eggplant with edamame, and a succulent sashimi course of tuna, surf clam, and yellowtail. Stars of the second platter include grilled sea bass with a zesty orange dressing, and a simmered dish of chilled duck with taro, carrot, and consommé jelly.

The dinner is rounded out with a grilled surf and turf course of Spanish mackerel and beef with spicy garlic sauce.
