Kaeng Tana National Park is in Khong Chiam District on the Mun River. It is a protected area of 80 square kilometres.

The park has an average elevation is about 200 metres with many undulating hills and undulating plains divided by the Mun River. The highest peak, Ban Tad, stands at 543 metres. The park is covered by deciduous forest and dry evergreen forests as well as grassland, and bamboo. Wildlife includes wild pigs, barking deer, civet, macaque and gibbon.

Kaeng Tana is also home to large mammal animal species including, Common Wild Bear, Palm Civet and Common Muntjack.
