Hat Wanakorn National Park is a famous beach in Amphoe Tubsakae, Prachuap Khiri Khan Province. The park covers a total area of 38 km2 which also makes it the smallest Marine National Park.
It offers peaceful scenery with white beach and sea pine trees along the sea line. Wanakorn Beach is a lovely 7-km-long strip of sand, lined with sea pines, interrupted by the occasional rocky headland, and backed by groves of casuarinas and other tree varieties.
The woods are nice for walking in and contain a wide variety of bird life whilst the pristine beach is great for swimming. Offshore are a couple of islands: Jan Island (Ko Jan) and Thaisri Island (Koh Thaisi), where hundreds of thousands of swifts nest in caves.
Hat Wanakorn is beautiful especially in the morning as tourists can see the sun come up from the sea. Park entrance fee is minimal, food vendors and shops are situated near the park buildings but if you want to stay here, you’ll have to bring a tent.
