Built in the reign of King Rama III in 1895, the architectural style of this temple is similar to Wat Phra Kaeo in Bangkok. This temple was formerly known as Wat Mueang.

The double-tiered two-garbled assembly hall is 12 metres wide and 26 metres long, situated on the west of the ordination hall.
