Wat Neranchararam Temple

Thai: วัดเนรัญชราราม
Alternative Names: Wat Neran Chararam
Province: Phetchaburi
Region: Western Thailand

Just a few meters from the Statue of King Naresuan on the left is Wat Neranchararam where a fat, white, six-armed Buddha image is housed. The six hands cover the nine bodily orifices in a symbolic gesture denying the worldly senses.

Omissible also is the exquisitely carved windows and the monastery gable depicting sumptuous and gilded flamboyances in traditional Thai styles.
