Wat Suwandararam was built in the end of Ayutthaya Period by the Father of King Rama I of Ratanakosin. It is located on the city island of Ayutthaya near the Pom Phet fortress. The murals in the ubosot are among the best in Thailand, and the ones in the viharn are quite unusual.
