Located outside the city island on the bank of the Chao Phraya River, Wat Kasatrathirat is another interesting temple in Ayutthaya Province worth visiting. Formerly known as Kasatra or Kasatraram, the ancient temple is of the Ayutthaya period with a main large Khmer-style Stupa at its centre.
The later renovation was in essence a complete overhaul of the temple.
