The Ayutthaya Historical Study Center is a national research institute dedicated to the study of Ayutthaya, especially during the period when Ayutthaya was the capital of Siam. It is located on Rochana Road, not far from the local Tourism Authority of Thailand office.
Sponsored by the Japanese Government, this is a more modern museum than the Chao Sam Phraya National Museum and tries to depict life in Ayutthaya, features 3 magnificent models of which the model of the Grand Palace and Wat Phra Sri Sanphet, next to the models of Wat Chai Wathanaram and the Elephant Kraal.
The Center also supports an information service and a library containing historical materials about Ayutthaya.
