Phan Fa Lilat Bridge

Bridges in Bangkok

The bridge was built over the old outer moat at Bang Lamphu canal, to link Ratchadamnoen Klang and Ratchadamh sections. It was formerly the iron structure bridge.

In King Rama V’s reign, the bridge was rebuilt to match Ratchadamnoen Avenue. Its balustrade are of cast iron with sunflower design. At the two ends of the bridge are carved marble poles. Even the bridge has been modified many times, its old elements still remain. The bridge is registered a national heritage by the fine arts department.
