Bridges in Bangkok

The bridge was opened on April 6, 1932. You can find the statue of of King Rama I at the foot of the Memorial Bridge.

The bridge was built of iron structure with openable pavement for passing ships after restoration in 1986, the pavement was permanently fixed and can not open any more. At the one side of the bridge is the statue of King Rama I, built together with the bridge. The statue was designed by Prince Narissara Nuwatthiwong, and casted Professor Silpa Phirashri.
